Advancing a Green and Just Transition in the Palestinian Olive Sector

This project presents a unique opportunity to invest in the olive value chain, strengthen climate resilience, and enhance the capacities of small-scale farmers and cooperatives. By improving organic olive oil production and expanding into new markets, the initiative will drive sustainable, inclusive economic growth while contributing to a green and just transition in the sector.  

The project operates on two levels. First, it focuses on market readiness by equipping farmers, cooperatives, and mills with innovative climate-smart techniques that align with international quality standards. Second, it enhances market opportunities by leveraging partnerships with local and international stakeholders to optimize the marketability of high-quality Palestinian olive oil in Denmark and beyond. Through private-sector-led, sustainable solutions, this initiative strengthens livelihoods, fosters economic resilience, and positions Palestinian olive oil as a premium product in the global market.
