General, News 05 Jan, 2023

The DGBP Secretariat is excited to announce that eight full projects and six maturation projects have been pre-selected out of 50 applications in the DGBP 2022 application round. DKK 100 million have been allocated to the partnership consortia that will develop their project documents for final approval within the first half of 2023.

The partner consortia will be engagedd in sustainable business development in ten different countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East. Ten of the projects address climate change as their principal objective, while four projects primarily focus on achieving social impact. All the projects consider the co-benefits of addressing climate change and social development through private sector and business development.

The projects cover various sectors including agriculture, green technology, water and sanitation, circular economy as well as forestry. The full projects will be implemented over the next five years with a view of establishing a viable impact business at the time of completion. The maturation projects will be implemented over the next 1,5 years with a view of assessing potential opportunities and/or barriers for developing a viable business case for further development.

More details about the 2022 partnerships will be posted here during the next weeks.
